Welcome to The Dusty Cottage!
We are a family run business on the outskirts of Moira in a small village called Maghaberry. I have 2 children -Naomi and Harry and also 2 Extra Lucky Black Cats (which you may find photobombing at times)
I have always had a passion for design, bright colours, unique and unusual finds which has brought me to the world of furniture upcycling.
I previously worked in the banking industry for over 15 years but was always eager to try something different. It started with a Pine table which I purchased for home with the plan to get rid of the orange tones and transform into something modern, light and fitting with my room decor.
From there the craze has continued and I'm often found at local auctions, Buy and Sell sites and car boot sales trying to find my next project to get stuck into.
I have branched out from tables to Gin Cabinets, Sideboards, Bedroom Furniture sets, Writing Bureaus...this list is endless.

The Upcycling Service
Initial Consultation and Quote
We will provide you with a non obligatory quotation to upcycle an item of furniture you have. We would request if you could send through a photo and description of what you would like completed.
Appointment
You will be allocated a slot in our Appointments Diary and the upcycle will commence on that week. It will generally be finished within 2 weeks (depending on size, number of items etc)
A small deposit may b e required to reserve your diary slot.
Collection and Delivery
We will get in touch prior to booking to arrange collection. This may come at an additional cost depending on where you are located. It is also optional to drop and collect your items to/from us.
The Finishing
Touches
We will upcycle your item in your selected colours/design.
We will provide a final photoshoot of the transformation and any changes can be made at this point prior to collection/delivery.
